How Long is a lesson?

All music lessons are 30 mins long

How Many Lessons Are There In a month?

There are 4 lessons (1 per week) per month. In december there are only 2 lessons and the other 2 lessons are made up during the year in months with 5 weeks

Are there ant age limitations when taking drumming lessons?

At Fame Music Academy we take students from as young as 6 and up to any age. There is no real set age for Older students, we have had 80years + and have done exceptionally well.

HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE I can play the drums?

There is no definite time before a student can play the drums. Certain students learn quicker than others. It also depends on how often they practice what the teacher has taught them after every lesson.

Do I need lessons to play the drums?

You can learn how to play drums without lessons, but it takes a lot of time and practice. On the other hand, learning from a teacher or coach can speed up the process and get you better results.

Do I need a drum kit when starting lessons?

It is not necessary to own your own drum kit to learn the drums at first, but it does help and at Fame Music Academy we always try and match up aspiring drummers to a starter or second hand kit that is not only affordable but that will work for them in their own environment. Speak to your drumming teacher to get the best advice.

Which is better to buy, electronic or traditional drum kits?

It depends on your circumstances.

Electronic drums, such as the Roland TD-10, offer a variety of features and functions to expand on the basic drum set. The key difference is that these electronic drums feature a digital interface that lets you connect your favorite electronic drum set to an external computer. If you are taking drumming lessons and want to buy your own kit to practice on from home an electronic kit may be a better option if you live in a small community and need to keep the sound down. On the other hand traditional kits have a different and more traditional feel to them. Speak to your teacher to give you the best advice for your circumstances.

What are the other advantages of playing drums?

Drums offer a wide variety of fun percussion sounds that children love. They’re easy to learn and are a lot of fun for kids of all ages. In addition, they can be used as a good exercise for developing hand-eye coordination, focus and rhythm. Drumming lessons are particularly good for kids who suffer from ADHD
